To some Rodeo Roping is a sport, something 'fun'.
My answer is NO. IT IS NOT!

It is cruel and they don't care for animal welfare at all!
Many MANY animals are injured in these events.

Hedgehogs

Hedgehogs are amazing little critters, but they need a lot of love, care and attention!

Always do your research before getting one and make sure they are legal in your area first.

Having a good vet that is experienced with hedgies is to your advantage and will help when you think or know something is wrong with your hedgehogs.

They are really sweet pets to have and aren't related to porcupines but to shrews(long-nosed mice). They come in a variety of different colours from salt and pepper, cinnamon and even elbino. If you want any other info on them just ask me and I will reply as soon as possible and please tell others about my blog as it isn't as popular as I had hoped it would be by now.

Hedgehogs absolutely need to be handled regularly in order to warm up to you and to stay tame.
Hedgehogs are largely nocturnal and run far in the night so they need a wheel to exercise on at night.
They need to eat a healthy diet so make sure you can provide the needed nutritional foods.

Fear of animals

 

Some people have a nasty fear of certain, possibly harmless animals and there might be a very good reason behind that fear, it might also just be because they weren't brought up with the certain animal or animals when they were younger giving them that fear. Exotic pets

Anyone with exotic pets? I myself have exotic pets, I use to have a veiled chameleon now I own a bearded dragon, a Chaco golden knee tarantula that's about 10 cm, a ball python, a hedgehog and ringneck parrots. I feed my tarantula 1 large cricket every 2 to 3 days and keep the moss in her tank nice and damp. And she just loves to be handled. I also have a Brazillian red and white bird eater and one other chaco golden knee tarantula. The Brazilian is about 6 cm  and the small chaco golden knee is about 1.5cm and I feed them one pinhead cricket or small roach a week, well that's two a week for the brazilian. My bearded dragon came from an abused home where he wasn't cared for properly,  fed only crickets and the only light used was a UV black light, however since getting him, he has gained a lot of weight and is now on a healthy diet of fresh fruits and veg and has all the appropriate lights and supplements. You can send me some pics of your exotic pets and even ask me some questions about your pets and I'll answer where I can, even if the animals aren't exotic, like a cat or a dog.
